Album a Day: Fever Ray - Fever Ray

Do you like The Knife? I like the Knife and so when nothing came out in a while I was sad. But then comes along the solo efforts of one of the brother/sister band at the hands of Karin Dreijer Andersson with Fever Ray. This album is just a beautiful thing. To start off with, the packaging (black and white digipak) and artwork really sets a tone that follows with the sometimes enchanting, sometimes haunting, always seducing music inside of it. Imagine if Cyndi Laudper had grown up in Sweden and collaborated with Peter Gabriel and Massive Attack. Put on this album and just chill out for a while. I can't guarantee what mood you'll wind up with in but it'll certainly put you in one. Favorite tracks: When I Grow Up, Seven, Triangle Walks, and Keep The Streets Empty For Me
