Album a Day (Boxset Edition): VNV Nation - Reformation 01

VNV really sold this album trying to recapture some of the magic from the rare Burning Empires disc by releasing a "mere" 18,000 copies worldwide. However, that shouldn't take away from the fact that this is a solid boxset. To start off the packaging is beautiful with a really nice little booklet. The first disc is a live album of mostly newer tracks and a few choices hits, the 2nd disc is rare/bonus/remixed/unreleased type material, and the 3rd disc is a DVD of one of their live shows (largely the same tracks as the first disc). For this boxset I would have preferred something that spans more of their career than just the newer music but overally it's worth getting for 2nd Disc alone. Favorite tracks: Disc 1 (Live CD): Chrome, Endless Skies, Farthest Star, Illusion, Arena, Honour 2003, and Perpeful. Disc 2: Chrome (Modcom '27.2Mhz Remix), Chrome (SITD Remix), Carry You (Frozen Plasma Remix), Still Waters, and Precipice
