Album a Day: Collide - These Eyes Before
Long known as masters of the cover song (see White Rabbit and Son of a Preacher Man) it's not entirely surprising that Collide would eventually release a covers CD (something I wish more bands would do, go listen to Bile - Copy Machine if you don't believe me). This is a great album of covers that really gives you an idea of the bands influences, capabilities, skill, and soul. I don't think I'm going out on a limb by saying that the band was very thoughtful in their song choices and it really paid off. Collide really grows with every release and so it was nice to see something reflective and introspective. Favorite tracks include: Nights In White Satin, Creep, Space Oddity, and Tusk
